Toy Pitches
One of my favorite cereal prizes was a set of trick playing cards that I got from a box of Rice Krispies as a kid. Normally, playing cards are mirrored on the diagonal, but a few of these ones had entirely different suits on the other end, allowing you to fan the deck on both sides for different hands on each. I don’t think I ever pulled off any of the recommended tricks with those cards, but it was nice to know ol’ Snap, Crackle and Pop had my back if I really needed to win a poker game through any means necessary.
Stop! Eschertime!
The original MC!
Or how ’bout an edible bowl? It’s one big frosted flake!
You’re either a genius, or a mad man!
my favorite toy was a figure of the Soginator from Captain Crunch. Still have it sitting next to my computer. They don’t make em like that anymore.
Oh yeah, I had those figures as a kid too. Did they come with a board game? Or maybe I just used them as replacement Monopoly pieces…
Not sure. I only had the one but it played many roles among my other toys.
Panel 3 is gold. Hes just so excited about breaking the rules of physical reality for the purpose of selling cereal
:) Yes, it really taps into that common emotion. We’ve all gone through that feeling at some point in our lives.
I’m having a hard time thinking of a cereal pack-in I liked better than Chex Quest, which you’re already familiar with given the reference in a prior page.
Now if I could just think of a decent cereal pack-in…the only thing I can think of is something comparable to those hats with can holders and straws, except instead of beverage, it’s cereal. Now you can eat your cereal hands-free!
…but, alas, that’s too bulky and expensive for a simple cereal pack-in, if I had to guess.
YES! chex quest was awesome too!
The cereal hat would make a great mail-away. Just 94 boxtops and 3 boxbottoms, and it’s yours!
I like the edible spoon idea.
It also works as a deterrent against soggy cereal. When the cereal gets soggy so does the spoon, so you can’t eat anything anymore!
I want one of those straws!
